PORTLAND, ME – October 6, 2026 – The Maine Mariners, proud affiliates of the NHL's Boston Bruins and AHL's Providence Bruins, have added three players from Providence to their training camp roster. Forwards Max Andreev and Kalle Vaisanen, along with defenseman Dylan MacKinnon were all re-assigned from Providence to Maine.
Andreev, a 27-year-old forward from Russia, was one of the Mariners’ top forwards last season, leading the team with 43 assists, and finishing tied for the team lead with 62 points. He earned an American Hockey League contract with Providence over the offseason.
Vaisanen, 23, is a forward from Finland who was acquired by Boston in a July trade with the New York Rangers. A fourth round pick of the Rangers in 2021, Vaisanen spent last season with AHL Hartford, appearing in 51 games, scoring three goals and adding one assist.
MacKinnon, 21, made his professional debut with the Mariners last season, appearing in three games in April upon finishing his junior career with the QMJHL’s Charlottetown Islanders. Drafted in 2023 by the Nashville Predators (3rd round, 83rd overall), he signed an AHL deal with Providence shortly after the 2025-26 season concluded.
